It's the time of year where I absolutely love to hang lights from every window of my house -- the only real issue is of course plugs! With these timer-based battery operated starry lights, I don't have that issue.

These lights are easy to hang on Christmas trees, in windows, on mantels, around poles -- pretty much anything you want to do and add extra light. These copper wires are flexible and can easily mold to any shape you need or want. The lights are very easy to operate, simply put 3 AA batteries (not included) and turn on. What I really liked is the ability to  use a timer - you can set lights on for 6 hours and auto off for 18 hours. 

As you can see in the video, you have a number of settings on these lights, you can use the button on the battery pack or the remote to set the lights how you want them -- fast, slow, on, off, fade and much more.

Overall, I really love these lights. They are already brightening up the inside of the house. These lights say they are waterproof but we are using them inside our house because I'm afraid to put them outside -- they are so pretty. The lights are 33 ft long so they are plenty long for all your decorating needs.

Review: Green Iron Outdoor Garden Planter Hooks

If you haven't figured it out by now, we are renovating our home and doing a lot of work both inside and out. Our yard and garden is still undergoing a lot of work but this planter hook is exactly what we use to hang plants on our fence posts outside in the warmer weather.

This outdoor garden planter hook is made of powder coated iron and comes with 2 screws to hang. You can hang whatever you'd like on it -- plants, bird feeders, chimes, lanterns, flags and so much more.

It's great for hanging plants from our fence posts in the garden. Right now we are using it to hang Christmas lights! It's working exactly how I planned. This is a great hook.

Review: Wuudi Stainless Zester/Grater

This zester arrived just in time for me to use it immediately as I was planning on making homemade cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving and my recipe calls for adding a bit of orange so I used this grater to zest an orange. I have to say I've used graters before and they all pretty much work the same way -- for zesting fruit like oranges or lemons or to finely shred cheese on top of pasta.

The handle of this is soft and the metal is made of stainless steel. What I really like is that it comes with a protective cover so you can easily store it with your other utensils when not in use.

These hand graters are so much easier to use for fine grating rather than a box grater which takes a lot of effort to clean. I just threw this in my top dishwasher rack when done

SENQIAO: Starry Lights

I have had the chance to review tons of different LED lights which as the holidays get closer are so convenient to have on hand. These SENQIAO lights are fantastic! We are using them to wrap around the beams on our back porch for Christmas.

These lights are great for a few reasons:
1. Remote control to turn on and off (ready to go out of the box!)
2. They can be dimmed or made brighter depending on what you need
3. No heavy green or white wires to wrap around, they are on a copper wire so the wires practically disappear when you turn the lights on
4. There is 33 feet of lighting wire with 100 LED lights so this is really long! You can't connect string to string like regular lights but for my needs these worked great.

I mentioned above you can make the lights dim or brighter based on your desire, but you can also have the lights on all the time, flash, strobe or fade these in and out. I also like that the LEDs are energy efficient. I really liked these lights. I don't think I'll take them down after Christmas.

Review: Rubber Door Stoppers

There's not much I can say about a door stop - it holds the door open, which is what it's supposed to do. What I like about these door holders is the material, they are a heavy rubber that seems to "stick" to the floor and the door holding it in place. To use, slide under your door and pull gently to hold the door in place. The door stays in place until you remove the wedge and need to close the door.

These do have a white adhesive holder that you can use to stick to hold the door stopper but I know I'll be using the door stop without it.

I like that this comes in a two pack because door so you have a backup in case you misplace one. These are great everyday door stoppers.

Review: Djudas Foot Mask

I have wanted to try a foot peeling mask ever since I heard of BabyFoot from some friends of mine and the Djudas Foot Peeling Mask was exactly what I wanted at a much lower cost. I hate anything to do with pedicures (which is why you won't see a picture of my feet on here!!) but my friends rave about them. This was perfect for me to give my feet some pampering.

Directions are easy – first you soak your feet in warm water for 10-20 minutes, then put the included socks on your feet and wait for 90-120 minutes (luckily I was able to watch a movie while I was doing this). When done, rinse and wash your feet gently with soap and then wait a few days. Within the next few days (the package says peeling will start between 3-7 days for me it was around day 4 or 5) your feet will start to peel and let me tell you – it’s not pretty so wear socks!  I’m still wearing socks constantly a week later but my feet look and feel baby soft!

The Djudas foot exfoliation peeling mask contains 20 kinds of plant extracts to work. It smells a little like menthol when you open the socks. I’m so glad this came in a 2-pack so I can use these again right before summer sandal season. My feet are happy!

HonWally Wired Gaming Keyboard & Mouse Combo

I must first start off by saying I love anything bright, shiny and vibrantly colored which was why this keyboard and mouse set caught my eye. This is a great basic set for any use – not just for gaming. I can see how kids would be attracted to it because of the back lighting on the keyboard and the mouse which I secretly love (ok, so maybe not a secret now ha!). You can shut the lighting on the keyboard off with a touch of a button which I really liked because the lights can be distracting. They are great when you are working in the dark.

I only used it on my PC so I can’t speak to how it works for a MAC. All I had to do to get started was to plug it in my USB port, wait for the installer and I was good to go. I had no issues typing or using the mouse immediately upon plugging in.

The keyboard is very lightweight – my keyboard at the office is heavier so if you have a laptop and want to plug the keyboard in, it won’t be heavy to lug around. I used the mouse like I would a regular mouse with no issues. Overall I would say performance was great, I’ve never used it to play games with but my husband did and said it was a great basic mouse.

I think this is a great set to have for general use or casual gaming. I know lots of people who are serious gamers and have very high tech mice to play games.

SoundPEATS Bluetooth Headphones

If you are like me, you constantly get tangled up in your earbud or headphone cords in your way because they always seem to be in your way. When I had the opportunity to try the SoundPEATS Bluetooth headphones, I jumped at the chance.

I'll admit at first I was skeptical about the around the neck style because I've never used them before, but after a while I didn't even notice them -- they are so lightweight. The earbuds attach to the neckband with magnets so you can take out the earbuds as you need to. While using these to listen to an audio book I was able to even use my phone to make a call.

They are very easy to use straight from the box - simply charge these up (one charge lasts 10 hours) and pair with your phone and you are ready to use. These paired quickly with my Android phone and the sound was clear and crisp.

This was the very first time I've ever used Bluetooth headphones and I don't think I'll ever use wired ones again. I loved them that much.

Review: PQ Earplugs

I've gone to over 100 concerts and once you been to that many concerts, earplugs are a must have to protect your hearing. These are also good to use for loud noises in everyday life -- like cutting the grass or for anything that has a prolonged loud noise.

The PQ earplugs are a great way to reduce the decibels to 28 db. I'm not an expert on what is a safe level so it's best to consult with an expert if you are concerned about loud noises and hearing loss.

These PQ earplugs (which stands for Peace and Quiet - catchy) cut out that excess noise like concerts, work or flying in an airplane. These plugs are super comfy as they are made of soft silicone. I have a pair I just just for concerts and these earplugs are a lot like the pair I have.  I really like that the PQ earplugs come with a case to store them in.

To use pull up on the top of your ear and insert the earplug. To remove, simply twist slowly. To clean remove the white filter inside and clean with a damp cloth, you can also wash them with warm soapy water. After wearing them one afternoon, I didn't even realize they were in -- they are that comfortable to wear.

For me, earplugs are a must have to protext my hearing, I can't live without them.

Review: Rye-Tech LED Strip Light

I know I've mentioned my home improvements numerous times already but we missed having under cabinet lights when we renovated our kitchen and really wanted to install them for lighting. After some research we decided to go with strip LED lights. These Rye-Tech Strip lights were just what we were looking for.

These lights have a full range of colors - red, blue, yellow, green, purple, pink, white and I'm sure others I'm missing. You can program the lighting you want to use or you can use a preset fade or blink. I like that you can set the brightness of the lights to what suits your needs. You also can cut these to whatever size you need - simply cut on on the marks noted on the strip. The lighting strip is very long so it will fit under our cabinets no problem.

The light set comes with everything you need -- a LED strip set with adhesive on one side for attaching (for our under cabinet lighting we will most likely tack it to the underside of our cabinets), a battery powered remote control with battery and plug for the wall. 

We liked these lights so much we purchased a second set for additional under cabinet lighting in our kitchen.

Review: Pet Glove Brush

My cat loves to be brushed but it’s really hard to get him to sit still for brushing so I need to cover as much of him as quickly as we can. This is great to use to help with all the extra fur, just put it on your hand and brush your pet. It was really hard to get my cat to sit still but he loved it. He was being a typical curious cat when we brushed him.

The glove brush is really perfect for any animal that needs brushing – cats, dogs or other animals. The brush is only for right hand use (sorry lefties). I really like that it just slips on your hand and you can adjust it through the Velcro wrist strap. To clean use soapy water, rise and lay flat to dry.
